Winter weather can be tough and even damaging to non-winterized marine engines, drives and outboards. All engines both old and new should be winterized to avoid costly repairs and to maintain engine/drive warranty ensuring a problem free start-up in the spring.
Mercury Sales & Service offers two levels of winterization service. We also offer trailer inspection & repair and boat safety inspections to keep you safe on land and sea.
Minor Service: Basic Service and Cleaning. Starting at $55.00
Recommended for engines with low operationg hours and or recent servicing.
Major Service: Full Service and Cleaning. Starting at $99.00
Recommended for engines with high operating hours or infrequent servicing. Provides the same basic protection as the Minor Service plus includes service to the critical parts to keep you on the water.
Outboard Minor Service Includes:
- Test Run and Fresh Water Flush Engine
- Drain Fuel System & Fuel Lines
- R&R Prop / Clean & Lube Splines
- Spray Powerhead with Anti-Corrosion Spray
- Change Engine Oil & Filter (4 Stroke) if Necessary
- Add Fuel Stabilizer to tank(s)

- Lube all Fittings
- Change Gear Oil
- Clean Engine Exterior
- Check Battery Levels
- Fog Engine with Storage Oil

Outboard Major Service Includes:
- Test Run and Fresh Water Flush Engine

- Lube Steering Shaft with 2-4-C with Teflon
- Inspect Zinc(s) - Replace if necessary

- Change Engine Oil & Filter (4 Stroke)
